Charlotte Invasion seeks to be a conduit for amateur basketball players focused on playing professional basketball. But we are more than just basketball. We also strive, first and foremost, to be a community partner and youth advocate. Our programs are geared toward empowering women and youth and educating the community on heart healthy lifestyles.
We wholeheartedly believe in our mission and are looking for alliances with corporations and local businesses with similar missions and community outreach initiatives. We are moving forward as an organization along 4 tiers of community relations that are the fabric of who we are.
Our philanthropic arm that supports the community through food drives, back to school giveaways, Christmas celebrations, and toy giveaways.
Our speakers’ bureau was established to empower girls, women and the community and impart keys to success in several areas including playing overseas, money management, how to make it to the pros, pressures of following your dreams while raising a family, and bullying – in school and in the workplace, and any other topic affecting our demographic.
We are not only giving back to our community through supplies and food; we are teaching our community how to live a heart-healthy lifestyle and what that means. This includes CPR demonstrations and certifications as well as access to physicals and how to lead healthier lives through exercise and nutrition.
We are a part of Charlotte’s landscape and we want to connect our community in various ways that increase awareness, networking, and outreach and facilitate learning and cooperation across our city. We connect in the form of clinics, speaking at schools, hosting networking events, other volunteer opportunities, and social media shout outs for partners, sponsors, fans, and players.
